After working with Yarn and other various fibers, I've begun to see what else I can put through my hook. I'm really enjoying wire. While it retains the look of crochet, you can bend and shape it to anything you like and no blocking is required! Plus this leads into the realm of embellishing for jewelry sake. I do love beads, and this is means that I can feed that side of my addiction.
So in this world I have found a great new bead store the Potomac Bead Company (I've been to the one in Hagerstown MD, and decided that I need to make frequent pilgrimages there) . They are attempting to create franchising opportunities.... hhhhmmmm.... I may have found my new job. The store is amazing! I spent several hours digging through bins of glass beads and seeing the mass of colors. It was like my crayon box was on crack!
I'll try to get pictures up soon of my crocheted wire explosion!

Taxi Cab Confessions
After having to deal with several bouts of hand fatigue that hindered the many projects I was working on, (at the same time of course!) I began to experiment with modifying my crochet hooks to work better for me. Why should I have to suffer because the silly people that make crochet hooks don't see what the users need, or want for that matter...
so here are some of my latest creations...

I figured, if a taxi cab driver can have massaging action while they are driving, why can't my hands have the same feeling while I crochet. So quite honestly, I don't think I could go back to anything different!

Craftiness
I've been a closet crafter my entire life. Literally. Growing up we had a great closet of sorts (at one time I think it was a kitchen when our house was 2 apartments) off of my parent's bedroom. My mom stocked it with everything from glitter to fabric to carpet samples to paper and everything in between. I could spend hours in that room.
Now that I am a grown up... biologically of course, I spend almost as much time in my own room at my house. I try to contain the mess, and my husband likes to point out when the room seems to vomit out into the rest of the house, but really, a girl needs a lot of space to work...
I crochet, and sew and paint and crochet and bead and crochet and take photographs... I have a job to support my nasty art habit. Why can't the fun things pay the bills?
